Destination Education (Holland)

Educational attainment is a vital factor impacting the sustainability of our communities and the lifelong success of today’s students. The 21st century global economy demands a workforce with an education beyond high school. The most successful communities foster high educational aspirations and align their institutions and resources to advance that vision. By working together, we can ensure that all students in the Holland/Zeeland area are prepared to earn a post-secondary credential or college degree and become productive citizens in a thriving community.

Destination Education (DE) is a Community Collaborative focused on making completion of postsecondary education an achievable reality for every student in the Holland/Zeeland area – particularly low-income students, students of color, and students who will be the first in their families to attain a degree or credential. To accomplish this goal, DE supports a community-wide cradle-to-career continuum approach addressing critical academic and social benchmarks to positively impact a student’s ability to achieve his/her full and unique potential.

Overall Goal
BY 2025: Increase the percentage of students who attain a post-secondary degree or credential from 45% to 75%.

Cradle to Career Vision
A community where all students thrive and reach their full unique potential.
