December 15, 2010 – Lansing, MI – Michigan College Access Network (MCAN) is pleased to welcome Sarah Anthony as MCAN’s new Executive Assistant and Lisa King as the Assistant Director.
As the Executive Assistant, Anthony works closely with the Directors of Michigan College Access Network and The Imagine Fund to coordinate internal operations for both organizations.
As the Assistant Director, King will be responsible for directing MCAN’s communication, marketing and technology strategies as well as implementing the KnowHow2GOMichigan public awareness campaign.
“We are thrilled welcome Sarah and Lisa to the MCAN team,” said Brandy Johnson, director of the Michigan College Access Network. “Their expertise and skill sets will help MCAN strengthen its resources, programs and services to college access organizations across the state.”
Prior to joining MCAN, Anthony served as the Legislative Assistant to State Representative Joan Bauer (D-Lansing) in the Michigan House of Representatives. She received a B.A. in political science/legal studies from Central Michigan University and will graduate with an M.P.A. from Western Michigan University in 2012.
King most recently served as the Public Relations Manager for the Michigan Nonprofit Association. Prior to her time with MNA, she worked for Patrick Davis Partners, a brand consulting firm. King holds a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University where she studied integrative public relations, and is currently pursuing her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) through the Public Relations Society of America.
