College Cash Campaign Michigan

College Cash Campaign

The goal of the Michigan College Cash Campaign is to encourage a school-wide rally around FAFSA and scholarship completion to help students find cash for college from November 1 through March 1, annually. This initiative is a part of the suite of statewide initiatives that helps students navigate the college-going process during their senior year. MCAN works to support schools in increasing the percent of students who complete the FAFSA and scholarship applications through the College Cash Campaign.

This year the Michigan College Access Network is partnering with Race to the FAFSA Line. This program is available for residents who reside in Southeast Michigan. The goal of the Race to the FAFSA Line challenge is to increase FAFSA completion among high school seniors in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.

FAFSA Tracker

For the 2019-20 year we will once again host the FAFSA Tracker data tool for all College Cash Campaign host sites.  Data will be displayed and regularly updated based on school reported student count and Federal Student Aid data.

Through the FAFSA Tracker tool all College Cash Campaign host sites will have access to an individual profile that shows current FAFSA completion data, the trend over time, and a comparison to previous FAFSA completion cycles. The FAFSA Tracker is a great tool for school counselors to track their school’s progress and to easily highlight the successes. To explore all the features, check out the FAFSA Tracker at:!

The FAFSA Tracker for the 2019-20 program year will be launched around November 1, 2019.

Expectations of Host Sites:

  • Set a bold FAFSA Completion goal
  • Assist all your students in completing the FAFSA
  • Utilize FAFSA Tracker data and MISSG Portal to target interventions
  • Assist your students in completing college scholarships applications
