Director of Community Mobilization Strategy, Michigan College Access Network

MCAN is hiring a Director of Community Mobilization Strategy. This is a recently-transformed position at MCAN although our work in this strategy remains consistent. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Community Mobilization serves as a senior staff member and supports various initiatives and projects related to MCAN’s four priorities. Examples of duties:

  • Fulfill strategic plan goals within the community systems category and those related to network development.
  • Develop, manage, and deliver suite of training and technical assistance services to Local College Access Networks, utilizing the Collective Impact framework. 
  • Oversee MCAN’s re-granting strategy.
  • Manage the Community Ambassador contracting efforts to increase engagement between communities without LCANs and MCAN.

Postsecondary Data Analyst, Center for Educational Performance and Information - State of Michigan

The analyst will perform a full range of professional analytical assignments in support of the Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI) applications related to adult learner, postsecondary and workforce data collection and cross-agency system integration efforts. Additional focus will be placed on interagency communication and planning for providing data which is meaningful for analysis and policymaking for the programs and the schools they serve.

Coordinator, Center for Pre-College Outreach - Michigan Tech

The Coordinator of the Center for Pre-College Outreach is responsible for the development and implementation of high-impact educational outreach activities, including Michigan Tech’s renowned summer youth programs. Working closely with diverse internal and external constituents, the Coordinator creates engaging, collaborative, inclusive, and effective programs that further the mission and outreach goals of the University.

Director of Service Strategy, Michigan College Access Network

MCAN is hiring a Director of Service Strategy. This is a new position to MCAN. We are excited to expand the leadership team to include a focus of using service as a strategy to increase college access and success. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Service Strategy will support various initiatives and projects related to MCAN’s four priorities. Examples of duties:

  • Support all aspects of the AdviseMI program and including its staff.
  • Plan, launch and monitor a new success coach program with support from staff, consultants and others. The design phase of this work is currently underway. Support all aspects of the success coach program and supervise its staff.
  • Build, maintain and expand MCAN’s relationship with the Michigan Community Service Commission, the Corporation for National and Community Service and other AmeriCorps programs.
  • Manage MCAN’s use and deployment of AmeriCorps*VISTA members.
