Admissions Officer, University of Michigan Flint

University of Michigan Flint is seeking an Admissions Officer with a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 1-3 years of previous admissions experience. This position will require driving to and from secondary schools and community colleges to conduct visitation programs in assigned territories, including attendance at on and off campus recruitment and community events (includes evening hours and extensive travel). Therefore a valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record is required. A candidate will also be expected to develop and implement recruitment plans and communication management for their assigned territory. Additionally, they will organize the preparation and execution of presentations to prospective students, parents and other key stakeholders. An ideal candidate will consistently demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, impeccable professionalism, and the ability to work with a great deal of independence.  Preferred candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills and extensive knowledge in working with computers specifically with Microsoft Office. Special duties as assigned.

K-12 School Guidance Counselor, Alcona Community Schools

Alcona Community Schools is seeking a highly qualified and certified K-12 School Guidance Counselor. The successful candidate should possess a strong background in secondary education, dual enrollment, and career and college readiness skills and have experience working with high school students.  Interested applicants must also possess excellent interpersonal, communication and technology skills.  The preferred candidate will demonstrate experience and knowledge about MTSS and PBIS systems and a commitment to working in a collaborative learning culture.  Preferred candidates will also have an interest in extra-curricular activities including athletic coaching and sponsoring various student groups.

Adviser, AdviseMI AmeriCorps Program

AdviseMI is now recruiting college graduates (or those who will graduate by May 2017) for its third-year cohort of college advisers. Since 2015, the AdviseMI program has embedded well-trained, dedicated, near-peer college advisers in high schools that serve significant numbers of low-income and first generation college-going students.

Applicants are asked to submit a resume that includes three references, a copy of transcripts and a short essay.
