Executive Director - Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM)

The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a more than $2 million budget, including overseeing staff and programs, fundraising, implementing the strategic plan on behalf of the Board of Directors and acting as a liaison and advocate for its members.

Responsibilities include:

Fellowship - RISE Michigan

Rise fellows are current community college or university students ( all-star high school seniors will be considered) interested in careers in advocacy, campaigns, and organizing who work with Rise on free college advocacy for 10-20 hours a week during the semester. Throughout the Fellowship, students learn to lead campaigns on their campuses and communities through outreach, organizing, and other techniques with peers across Michigan. Rise Fellows earn $15 an hour for their efforts.

Adviser, AdviseMI AmeriCorps Program

AdviseMI is now recruiting college graduates (or those who will graduate by May 2019) for its fifth-year cohort of college advisers. Since 2015, the AdviseMI program has embedded well-trained, dedicated, near-peer college advisers in high schools that serve significant numbers of low-income and first generation college-going students.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in any subject area, with a 2017, 2018 or 2019 graduation date. To apply, submit a resume that includes three references, a copy of transcripts and a short essay. Additional information and application requirements can be found in the complete position description.
