Recruitment & Admission Officer - Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America

Under supervision of the Director of Recruitment and Admission, the Recruitment and Admission Officer maintains primary responsibility for developing partnerships and collaborating with public schools and school guidance counselors in order to expand the recruitment pipeline and implement the admission process for the LEDA Scholars program. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional that has an admissions/recruitment background, is knowledgeable about college admissions/access, and has a passion for expanding higher education opportunities to underrepresented populations.

Part Time College Success Coach - Washtenaw Community College

The Part time Community Scholars College Success Coach seeks to promote college persistence and completion by supporting recipients of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation’s Community Scholarship Fund. The AAACF’s Community Scholarship Fund and the College Success Coach position are designed to specifically support students who are low-income, first in generation to pursue college, and/or youth of color, throughout their college careers, understanding that these students are at the highest risk for not completing their degree programs after they initially enroll.

This position is only available for students pursuing their Graduate Degree at Eastern Michigan Universitywith preference to students studying Higher Education/Student Affairs, Counseling, or Social Work.

FT Professional Support - Coordinator of Scholarships & Operations - Lansing Community College

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Coordinator for Scholarships and Operations oversees all of the functions related to both Foundation and College scholarship awards, and Foundation operations and program fund expenditures and billings and assists with the development of the Foundation annual budget. Oversees grants awarded to, and by, the Foundation.

Serves as the Foundation liaison to the Foundation Finance and Executive committees. Individual will be a member of the College-wide Scholarship team and be able to clearly articulate scholarship processes and policies within the Foundation.

Bachelor’s Degree OR an Associate’s Degree with two (2) years of related work experience is required for this position.

On-Campus Recruitment Specialist- Olivet College

This full time, 12-month position is eligible for a comprehensive benefit package. As part of the admissions team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, scheduling, logistics and itinerary development for all individual prospective student campus visits and for 8-10 yearly group prospective student campus events.

     This position requires the ability to effectively communicate with all constituents across campus in order to strategically plan the events, itinerary, set-up, marketing and data collection for analysis regarding the success of each event.  This individual will also be responsible for training and developing a small staff of student tour guides.This position involves a high level of detail and communication with the admissions team and the athletic staff, as well as, the ability to work with staff and faculty from various departments and constituents across campus. Other responsibilities include assisting with the campus visits as needed, not limited to conducting campus visits in the absence of an Academic Enrollment Specialist.

Transfer Student Recruitment Specialist- Olivet College

This full time, 12-month position is eligible for a comprehensive benefit package. The primary responsibility of this position is to grow the transfer population at Olivet College by working with local community colleges to create relationships, partnerships and programs that will attract and matriculate transfer students.  This position requires additional evening and weekend hours, as necessary. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the innovation and implementation of lead generation and sourcing opportunities for transfer students, recruitment of prospective transfer students, relaying detailed and accurate programming and transfer credit information to prospective transfer students, attending various transfer student recruitment functions and planning campus events related to transfer student recruitment.  

     Must be able to work with various departments across campus, familiar with academic advising models, self-disciplined, highly motivated, assertive, goal oriented, well organized, comfortable using computerized information management systems and adept at telemarketing. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and effective telephone and presentation skills.
