Admissions Counselor - Northern Michigan University

Life Skills Coach, Youth in Transition (Temporary Grant Funded) - Saginaw Valley State University

Provide life skills support and assistance for SVSU and Delta College students formerly in foster care; recruit and train peer mentors; supervise part-time assistant life skills coaches; develop and maintain research and data from the program. Community Scholars College Success Coach - Washtenaw Community College

The Community Scholarship College Success Coach seeks to promote college persistence and completion by supporting recipients of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation’s (AAACF) Community Scholarship. The Community Scholarship and the College Success Coach position are designed to specifically support students who are economically disadvantaged (at or below 200% of the federal poverty guideline), the first generation in their family to graduate with a four-year degree, and/or Youth of Color, throughout their college careers. The College Success Coach will be responsible for coordinating and delivering case management services, supporting and mentoring scholarship recipients, known as the Community Scholars. This position will work with the Community Scholars one-on-one and as a collective cohort throughout the academic year at various postsecondary institutions. The full time College Success Coach central role will be to support the awarded student cohorts transition from high school to college; provide continued holistic support during the college years, including any crisis intervention and assistance with securing basic needs; provide navigation of relevant information regarding campus and community resources; and mentor Community Scholars on academic and personal goals. Note: This is a full-time position funded with grant funding and shall not be continued beyond the life of such funding. No continuing employment rights are implied.

Office Assistant - Michigan College Access Network

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, the Office Assistant will assist in day-to-day operations of the office, and support the work of management and other staff. This will be a 20 hour/week position designed to provide flexibility during business hours between 9 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Project/Event coordinator - Michigan State University College Advising Corps

he Michigan State University College Advising Corps (MSUCAC) seeks to hire a Project/Event coordinator to provide support to recent MSU graduates who are serving as college advisers in high schools across the state of Michigan. As a partner of the national College Advising Corps, the MSUCAC’s overarching goal is to increase the number of low-income, first-generation college, and underrepresented high school students who enter and complete higher education. The successful candidate will assist with the recruitment, supervision and training of college advisers and contribute to planning, coordinating, and executing assigned project components in relation to adviser professional development. The successful candidate will also assist with developing and sustaining partnerships with school administrators and local college access professionals to effectively support advisers as they are serving with MSUCAC. The selected individual will join a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, collaborating with a team dedicated to improving access to higher education for low-income, first generation college, and underrepresented high school students.
