Strong support systems - from both inside and outside the classroom - are necessary to help students complete their postsecondary programs. The guidebook takes a deep dive into four distinct student supports provided by community stakeholders:

  • Academic (e.g., advising and tutoring)
  • Career (e.g., career counseling, mentoring, and work experience)
  • Personal (e.g., learning communities and comprehensive first-year experiences)
  • Financial (e.g., financial aid counseling and supports for housing, transportation, legal services and other holistic needs)
