At MCAN, we have one main goal: Increasing the percentage of Michigan residents with degrees or postsecondary certificates to 60% by the year 2030. By supporting increased access to postsecondary opportunities for low-income students, students of color, and first-generation college-going students, we address systemic inequities head-on. This way, we can empower students and communities in Michigan for generations to come.

Michigan College Access Network is proud to announce three Innovative Program Grants to support promising college access and success projects across the state. Montcalm Community College and Alternatives for Girls each received $10,000, and Michigan Technological University received $6,333.

Earlier this week, Michigan College Access Network presented individual Pathway Awards to Michigan’s Career Education Planning Districts, honoring regional leaders and education providers who are working to ensure students across Michigan have access to high-quality, career-aligned Career and Technical Education programs.

Decision Day is Coming!
College Decision Day recognizes high school seniors for their postsecondary educational plans and encourages younger students and families to prepare for postsecondary education. College Decision Day is held annually on or around May 1 and is designed to coincide with the date that most seniors must inform a college of their plans to enroll.
