Minority Serving Institutions: Bridges to Postsecondary Success

This session introduces attendees to the various types of federal designations associated with Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). This comprises Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), and Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs). In addition, there will be a specific focus on identifying these institutions within the state of Michigan, and attendees will gain strategies for incorporating MSI information in Match & Fit discussions with students.
